Hello! I’m Rebecca, and welcome to my website. I’m a Master of Computer Science student and a member of the Carleton Internet Security Lab (CISL). I am supervised by Dr. AbdelRahman Abdou.
My current research is focused on understanding the state of DNS security through the use of internet measurements. My broader areas of interest include public key infrastructure, applied cryptography, and the impacts of technology on society.
I received my undergraduate degree from Carleton University. During this time, I was a member of Team Canada at the International Cybersecurity Challenge (2023). I also did a research internship supervised by Dr. Yuly Billig (2024), working on algorithms for hypergraph clustering, which was supported by an NSERC USRA.
Outside of my academic life, I am a writer and multidisciplinary artist. My work has been published in Best Canadian Essays and I have performed at VerseFEST, Ottawa’s international poetry festival.
